Indiana Courtesy Flag 12" x 18"
Proudly made in America.
Designed for the serious sailor, Indiana courtesy flags are 100% marine-tough nylon, manufactured to withstand damaging sun, wind and salt exposure. Bright colors, finished with canvas heading and solid brass grommets. 12" x 18".
Indiana's flag dates from 1916 and a contest won by Paul Hadley to obtain a design for the states 100th birthday. Hadley's design shows a torch for liberty and enlightenment. The rays mean that freedom and knowledge are available to every citizen. The large star represents Indiana and the eighteen smaller stars depict the eighteen states in the union before Indiana.
