Miniature Denmark Flag

Silk-like flags measure 4" x 6"  and are securely attached to 10" black staffs topped with gilt spears.  All four sides are sewn.  Bright colors.  They are perfect for everything from long term desk display to parade and celebration giveaways!

Denmark has flown the same flag since the thirteenth century, longer than any other country.  The use of the flag dates to the Battle of Valdemar in 1219.  Denmark's flag has a red field with a white Scandinavian cross extending across the edges.  The cross symbolizes Christianity and was later adopted by other Nordic countries including Sweden, Norway, Finland, Iceland and the Faroe Islands.  Red stands for courage, strength and valor.
