Delaware State Flags

Delaware is known as "The First State" because it was the first of the original thirteen colonies to ratify the Constitution of the United States.  An early nickname, "the Diamond State," is represented by the diamond in the center of the flag.  The coat of arms shows products from the states early days - shipping, farming, hunting and cattle raising.
