Liechtenstein Flag

Liechtenstein's flag has used the same basic colors, blue and red, since the 17th century when it was part of the Holy Roman Empire.  Blue symbolizes the bright sky over the country while red represents the peaceful embers in a fireplace during evening gatherings.  The golden color of the crown is meant to convey a feeling of unification of its people and their hearts and spirits.
