Yemen Flag

Located along the Red Sea, Yemen's flag reflects Pan Arab colors, red, white and black, used by many country flags in the region.  The red band represents all the bloodshed in the fight for independence.  The white portion represents eternal hope and black represents the country's difficult early years.  The flag of Yemen was adopted in 1990.
