United Arab Emirates Flag

The flag of the United Arab Emirates was officially adopted on December 2, 1971.  It features Pan Arab colors - red, green, white and black - colors symbolic of Arab unity.  Green also symbolizes fertility, white neutrality and peace and black the vast oil wealth within its borders.
