Republic of Georgia Flag

The Republic of Georgia flag's basic design dates back over 500 years ago as it was the flag of the medieval Georgian Kingdom.  Brought back in use after Georgia gained its independence from the Soviet Union in 1991, this Georgian flag was adopted on January 14, 2004, making it one of the world's newest flags.
