Niger Flag

Niger has a tricolor flag of three horizontal stripes - orange, white and green.  The orange band represents the Savannah grasslands that are located in the northern portion of the Sahara Desert.  White is the symbol of purity and innocence.  Green stands for the country's rain forests and the Niger River.  The orange disc in the center of the white stripe symbolizes the celestial sun.
