Guinea Flag
Guinea adopted its flag on September 24, 1973 and it features three vertical stripes - red, yellow and green. The colors represent the unity of the African nations (Pan African colors). Red represents the blood of its martyrs in their fight for independence, red stands for the labor of farmers, factory workers and all other people in the country. Yellow symbolizes the bright sun that shines over the country, and also for its abundance of mineral resources, including gold.
