Ghana Flag

The flag of Ghana has three horizontal stripes - red, yellow and green - with a black star centered within the middle yellow stripe.  Red symbolizes the sacrifice of its soldiers during the battle for independence, yellow stands for the nation's mineral wealth and green represents its agricultural wealth.  The black star is meant to be the lodestar of African freedom.
