Alaska State Flags

$20.95

The Alaska state flag was designed by thirteen year-old John Bell (Benny) Benson from Chignik, Alaska.  Benny had won a contest in 1927 open to schoolchildren in grades seven through twelve sponsored by the Alaska American Legion.  The blue background represents the sky.  On the background Benny placed eight gold stars to represent the Big Dipper and the North Star.

Alaska state flags are made in America of durable 100% SolarMax nylon, the strongest and most fade-resistant nylon material available.
